Cabin Baggage Rules & Allowance

  • The baggage allowance for Turkish Airlines includes one piece of cabin baggage weighing up to 8 kg with dimensions of 23x40x55 cm for Economy Class passengers. Two pieces with a combined weight of 16 kg for Business and First Class passengers.
  • Prohibited and restricted items include weapons, explosives, flammable materials, and certain types of liquids.
  • Non-prohibited liquids such as perfume, deodorant, and contact lens solutions must be carried in containers less than 100 ml in original containers and stored in a 1-liter zip-lock transparent bag.
  • Shaving foam, toothpaste, baby food, respiratory devices, and medicine can be carried in the cabin with proper documentation.
  • Lighters, makeup, and sports equipment such as tennis or squash racquets can also be carried in the cabin if they meet certain requirements.

How to track my luggage on Turkish Airlines?

You can obtain the status of your baggage within the first five days by calling the station’s contact number listed on the Property Irregularity Report (PIR).
