Everything On Turkish Airlines Pet Policy: Cabin, Carrier & Fees

Traveling with pets – Airline’s Pet Policy

Turkish Airlines kindly requests that passengers traveling with pets obtain authorization at least 6 hours before departure for a safe and pleasant journey. Dogs, cats, and small birds are accepted, but aggressive and brachycephalic pets are not allowed on board.

It is recommended that pet and carrier be labeled with the passenger‘s name, address, telephone number, and the name of the pet. The total weight of the pet and carrier should not exceed 8 kg, with carrier dimensions not exceeding 23 cm in height, 30 cm in width, and 40 cm in length.

For the cabin section, pets are only allowed in hardcase cages or specially designed softcase containers/bags. The total weight of the pet plus its carrier will be multiplied by the excess baggage fee applicable on the route, to determine the pet fee.

We wish you a safe and enjoyable journey with Turkish Airlines!
