If you booked your ticket through a third party (such as a travel agent or an online platform), you must contact them directly to cancel your ticket and process your refund.

Q: Are there any cancellation fees?
A: If you cancel a refundable ticket outside of the waiver period, you will be charged a cancellation fee ranging from USD 90 – 220, depending on your travel class and fare conditions. However, if you’ve purchased a fully refundable ticket, you can cancel it without being charged any cancellation fee.

Q: Does the 24-hour cancellation policy apply to flights to/from the US?
A: Yes, Qatar Airways ticket cancellation within 24 hours applies to flight bookings to or from the United States. Under this policy, you’re allowed to hold your flight booking for up to 24 hours without paying anything. After you pay for your ticket, the normal rules will apply.

Qatar Airways Name Change Policy

  • Up to 3 characters can be corrected for the title, first, and middle name
  • Changes to the date of birth or PTC not included in the 3-character count
  • Exceeding 3 characters or surname modification requires contact with the Qatar Airways office
  • Legal change of title, first name, middle name, and/or family name (surname) must be supported by
  • legal documentation
  • Contact the Qatar Airways office for assistance with infant name changes
  • Provide supporting legal documentation for legal name changes
  • No name swapping allowed
  • Name changes and name corrections are not permitted for PNRs created through Privilege Club profiles
  • Name corrections must be followed by reissuance of E-tickets or they will not be accepted

Pet Policy and Extra Charges

  • Qatar Airways only allows falcons and trained service dogs to travel in the passenger cabin
  • Domesticated pets may travel as checked baggage or air cargo
  • Book pet travel at least 48 hours before departure
  • Provide water and food for pets in a container
  • Ensure required health documents and certificates are in order
  • Pet cost for falcons ranges from USD 115 – 630, depending on the route
